Wireless charging is a super simple good way to charge your iPhone X. If there is a charging issue, such as the wireless charger not charging iPhone X, intermittent charging, or very slow charging, below are the causes.
1. Low quality of the wireless charger.
2. Inner system conflicts from the wireless charger.
3. Wireless charging coils not lining up correctly.
4. Faulty USB cable or low-wattage cable.
5. Faulty AC power adapter of the wireless charger.
6. Low wattage wiring and connecting.
7. Software bugs or errors.
8. A phone case or other foreign object between the phone and the wireless charger.
9. The wireless charger or the phone getting too hot (overheating).

Many solutions can quickly solve the wireless charger not working with your iPhone X, such as a restart on the phone or replacing the cable. Below are all the workable solutions.
Solution 1. Restart your iPhone X
A restart is the easiest method you can try to solve your iPhone X not charging on the wireless charger. It will shut down all errors that may stop the wireless charging.
To restart iPhone X, press and hold either volume button and the side button until you see the power off slider on the screen. Drag the slider. Wait around 30 seconds and press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

By default, the Optimized Battery Charging feature is enabled. This sometimes could interfere with the wireless charging process.
To disable the Optimized Battery Charging feature on iPhone X, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and then tap the slider behind “Optimized Battery Charging” to make it gray.
Solution 4. Move the iPhone X a bit to find the sweet spot
One of the most common causes of wireless chargers not charging or iPhone X wireless charging not working is the charging coils not aligned correctly.

Software will stop the wireless charging process to avoid damage for the battery if the iPhone X gets too hot. Move the devices to another place and cool them down, or wait until the temperature goes down.

Solution 11. Turn off the vibration mode
Your iPhone X will shift position if it gets too many notifications under the vibration mode during wireless charging. This would cause charging coils not lining up and would stop wireless charging.

Solution 13. Charge iPhone X on safe mode
If you’ve tried many methods and the wireless charger still is not working with your iPhone X, one of the quick solution to solve the problem is to charge the iPhone on safe mode.
To turn iPhone X onto safe mode:
- Turn the iPhone X off
- Once the iPhone X is completely off, turn it on by holding down the power button.
- Once the iPhone X lights up, hold down the volume down button until the Apple logo appears.
- When the iPhone X has booted, it will be in the Safe Mode.

Solution 14. Reset all settings on iPhone X
