What Does It Mean When Your Wireless Charger Is Blinking Yellow/Orange/Amber
Many wireless chargers use the yellow color in LED light to indicate the charging problem. Some use similar colors like orange or amber.
When your wireless charger is blinking yellow, orange, or amber, it means there is a bad voltage charging problem, which indicates that the input power supply or the USB cable is not good enough to supply power.
In most cases, it would be a higher voltage or a lower voltage. This could cause overheating or very slow charging, or the wireless charger just wouldn’t charge your phone.
This wireless charger blinking yellow problem has been reported in Samsung dual/duo wireless chargers.
“My Samsung dual wireless charger blinking yellow light. Why?”
No matter which wireless charger you use, you might get the LED light blinking yellow issue if you do not use the wireless charger in the correct way. Below are the causes.
Why Is Your Wireless Charger Blinking Yellow/Orange/Amber
“Why is my wireless charger blinking yellow?”
If your wireless charger is blinking yellow/orange/amber, you’re probably using a low quality faulty USB cable or a wrong AC power adapter for the wireless charger. Wrong cables and wrong wall adapters are the number 1 cause for this problem.
Charging coils not lining up correctly could also cause the wireless charger blinking yellow, which means the wireless charger could not connect to the phone correctly.
Therefore, solutions to solve your wireless charger flashing yellow are quite simple. See next.
How to Solve the Wireless Charger Flashing Yellow/Orange/Amber
Your wireless charger blinking yellow/orange/amber is not a serious problem, and you can quickly solve it with the solutions here.
Solution 1. Change the AC Power Adapter
Some wireless chargers require a powerful enough power adapter to transfer enough power supply to work, such as the Samsung dual or duo wireless charger. To solve the wireless charger blinking yellow and not charging your phone, use the AC power adapter that came with the wireless charger box.
If there is none, buy a correct high quality power adapter. See our previous post: How to Select a Correct Power Adapter for Your Wireless Charger.
Do not use a low quality wall power adapter for your wireless charger. Remember to change the wall adapter that you’ve previously used.
Solution 2. Use Another USB Cable
Some USB cables could not supply enough power to the wireless charger, especially when you use a fast wireless charger or a dual wireless charger. Use the cable that came with your phone, or Buy a high quality USB cable in Amazon.
Change the cable regularly because cables fail more than you think.
Solution 3. Center the Phone Correctly
Make sure you’ve put the phone onto the exact center of the wireless charging pad or the wireless charging stand, so that the wireless charger can line up and detect the phone. Some wireless chargers may take you a bit to find the sweet spot to get the phone charged correctly.
Solution 4. Remove Any Object, including the Phone Case
Do not put any object between the phone and the wireless charger, including the phone case, or the phone holder magnet. These objects may interfere with the wireless charging process, which cause the wireless charger flashing yellow and not charging your phone.
If you prefer charging through cases, make sure your wireless charger is case-friendly and your phone case supports wireless charging.

Umm none of these solutions worked, when I plug the charger in without putting the phone on yet it just constantly blinks yellow. It was working one sec then just blinks now. And I’ve only had it for less than a year so idk why it’s doing this. I’d hate to have but another one and the same thing happen in the future.
High quality wireless chargers seldom have this problem. You may need to contact the manufacturer or the seller.
