If your phone has this issue, you can try the solutions below to fix it.

We’ve listed the main causes and top 13 workable methods to fix phone screen coming on and off while wireless charging.

Solution 1. Restart the phone

Inner conflicts from the phone may interfere with the wireless charging process. You can restart your phone to shut down all conflicts, and then replace your phone on the wireless charger to get it charged.

A regular restart is also a golden rule to maintain your phone and keep it at the best working status.

Solution 2. Reset the wireless charger

Inner errors from the wireless charger may also cause your phone screen turning on and off during wireless charging. Your can reset the wireless charger before charging your phone to close all errors.

To reset the wireless charger, simply unplug and replug the USB cable from the wireless charger. This can also restart the wireless charger.

Solution 3. Change the cable from the wireless charger

Faulty cables are one of the main causes for wireless charger not working correctly, which could lead to your phone screen waking up again and again during wireless charging. Use another USB cable for the wireless charger.

Solution 4. Change the power adapter of the wireless charger

Faulty AC power adapters are one of the often overlooked problems that cause wireless charging not working correctly. Select a correct AC power adapter for your wireless charger, especially when it’s a fast wireless charger.

Solution 5. Check if it’s connecting to a sufficient power supply

Low wattage is often overlooked and it could cause your phone screen into the popping up loop when placed on a Qi standard wireless charger. Make sure you’ve connected the wireless charger to a sufficient power supply.

Solution 6. Align the wireless charging coils

Some wireless chargers can’t line up immediately and correctly with the wireless charging components in your phone. You need to align the wireless charging coils by moving your phone a bit to find the sweet spot.

If the phone has a case, remove the case. Some materials of the case may interfere with the wireless charging process.

Solution 7. Disable the AOD feature

Solution 8. Charge on safe mode

The safe mode will block all third party apps from running on your phone. If your phone charges fine in safe mode, then clearly one or several apps are causing the screen waking up issue. You can then test each app to see which one causes the issue.

Steps of running safe mode are different for different phones. You should refer to the manufacture’s guide to run your phone into safe mode.

Solution 9. Reset all settings

Installing new apps, updates or customizing your phone settings may cause the wireless charging relevant settings not being configured properly, which may cause screen turning on and off during wireless charging.
