Solution 1. Activate the Fast Wireless Charging Option
When you get your new Samsung phone (a brand-new one), it’s normal that the Fast Wireless Charging option is not available in settings. You need to activate the phone’s fast wireless charging and then this option will appear in settings.
The easiest way to active fast wireless charging and the Fast Wireless Charging option is to use a fast wireless charger with a Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 adapter.
When you place the phone onto the charger, wireless charging will be activated instantly and you will see the phone is charged.
Go to Settings > Advanced features > Accessories, and you will see the Fast Wireless Charging option.
We’ve seen many users bought a correct fast wireless charger but with a non-fast adapter, like a 5V/2A adapter. In this case, when you put your phone onto the wireless charger, it won’t charge your phone in the fast mode and the Fast Wireless Charging option won’t be available.

Solution 2. Troubleshoot Inner Problems That Cause the Fast Wireless Charging Option Missing
If your Samsung Galaxy phone or Note phone could be charged fast on your fast wireless charger but then it failed and the Fast Wireless Charging option disappeared after some time, then inner problems from the phone would cause this issue.
Firstly, try to reboot your phone. A turn-off will shut off the conflicts that may cause the no fast wireless charging issue.
If this won’t work, try to update to the latest Android version. Normally, an update will help solve this kind of problems.
If your phone has the latest version already, try to restart it to Safe Mode. This will help check if a third party app is causing the issue.
Take Samsung Galaxy S9 as the example:
1. Turn the phone off.
2. Press and hold the Power Key until the “Samsung” appears on the screen. Then release the Power key.
3. Press and hold the Volume down key. The phone will finish restarting.
4. You will see Safe mode in the bottom left corner of the screen. Release the Volume down key now.
5. Go to Settings > Device maintenance > Battery or Settings > Advanced features > Accessories to check for the Fast Wireless Charging option.
If the Fast Wireless Charging option is back now, definitely one of the apps is causing the issue. Uninstall the apps you’ve added recently. You can uninstall the app one by one and then check if the Fast Wireless Charging option appears in the normal mode.
Solution 3. Do a Factory Reset
A factory reset will return your Samsung phone’s default settings. And once you place it on a fast wireless charger (using a QC 2.0 or 3.0 adapter), it will be charged wirelessly in the 10W fast charge mode and the Fast Wireless Charging option will appear there in settings, just like when it’s a new phone you first got.
Important: All data will be cleared from the phone when performing a factory reset.
There are 2 ways to do a factory reset. Here we take Galaxy S9 as the example.
Way 1:
Go to Settings > General management. Select Reset > Factory data reset > Reset > Delete all.
Way 2:
- With the phone powered off, press and hold the “Volume Up” and “Bixby” buttons.
- Continue to hold both buttons, then press and release the “Power” button to power the phone on.
- Release all buttons when you see the Samsung logo appears.
- You will also see the Android Recovery menu and the “Installing system update” and “No command” screens.
- Press the volume buttons to toggle the selection to “Wipe data/factory reset”.
